Windsor Castle Royal Weddings 1840-1947:From Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II

The Drawings Gallery exhibition presents the public and personal stories of five royal
weddings, from the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to the wedding of
Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, through photographs and
documents from the Royal Archives, rare memorabilia and charming personal gifts
exchanged by members of the Royal Family. Among the many fascinating items on display
are original pieces of wedding cake and the orange-blossom brooch designed by Prince
Albert for Queen Victoria during their engagement.  The exhibition will mark the
Diamond Wedding anniversary of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of
Edinburgh, in 2007.
